Such a special day for mothers!  Until I became a mother 9 years ago (can’t believe it’s been 9 years!) I didn’t really realize what being a mom meant.  My own mother always says being a mom was the best thing she ever did in her life, and now I understand why.  There is nothing quite like it!  The unconditional love on both sides is like a miracle.  You follow every milestone with joy and pride.  Your heart breaks when they get hurt or are having a hard time.  When they cry, you cry inside.  When they are happy, life is great!  Your own wellbeing is tied to theirs.  And the crazy thing is, it all goes by so quickly!  Of course it can be very hard work and some days feel long, but the years are very, very short.  It feels just like yesterday that our oldest daughter was a toddler learning to walk, and now she’s practically a preteen who stays up reading chapter books with a flashlight in bed at night!  And our younger daughter was just a baby, but now she’s suddenly a precocious 5-year-old who can already read and write, and wears ponytails and a faux leather jacket and sparkly sneakers to school!

We all love these beautiful blue dresses gifted from Chi Chi London.  The girls are growing up fast but they still love to match with Mommy so I will take every chance I get to twirl in the streets with them in baby blue lacy dresses with full skirts, and sparkly barrettes!  The only one who is missing in this picture is my own mom.  I miss her every day as she lives in California!  We do get to visit a lot but it is not the same as if you live close by.  While I want my own girls to grow up and have their own adventures in life, secretly I would love nothing more if someday we all lived in the same town or city and I could always be a close part of their lives on a daily basis!  I know my mom wishes the same thing!

I hope everyone has a happy Sunday and Mother’s Day!

Thank you for reading!
