Minimalist chic for a change!

Top: Tibi (old) similar herehere and here | Pants: ASOS | Sunglasses: Quay | Shoes: Tibi | Bag: Prada | Earrings: Sachin & Babi

I rarely wear minimalist outfits; usually I am drawn to pieces with ruffles, florals, bows or tassels (and sometimes all of the above at once, yikes!).  But I have to admit, sometimes clean lines can be more pleasing to the eye!  My home is not really minimalist either.  I hate clutter, but I love more traditional interiors – with floral and blush pink throw pillows, gold/gilt mirrors, and antique looking furniture.  But that said, when I go to friends’ apartments that are decorated with more contemporary clean lines, I always love the look!  I wonder if most people dress like they decorate their homes?  If you like clean lines in your home, do you prefer a minimalist style for fashion?

These ASOS pants reminded me right away of Tibi.  Tibi is one of my favorite clothing brands, known for being “clean, modern, feminine and relaxed”.  Even though I don’t naturally gravitate toward minimalistic style, I love everything by Tibi – their pieces are classic and stand the test of time.  The silk top I am wearing here is from Tibi from a couple of years ago.  And my favorite white shoes which I am wearing in this picture are Tibi.  So why not wear the ASOS pants with my Tibi top and shoes and make it an outfit.  I think it turned out well.

You are probably thinking “she is a little crazy right now!”, but it is harder for me to dress like this (minimalist) than to just throw on a ruffled floral dress with some sparkly sneakers.  For me, this was a style challenge!  What style are you?  What style comes most naturally to you when you get dressed?  Minimalistic or feminine or a combination of both?

Thank you for reading!
