Spring uniform!

Skirt: ASOS | Blouse: J.Crew (old), similar by Banana Republic here, similar by Gap here, similar by See by Chloe here, similar under $30 by J.O.A. here | Boots: Kurt Geiger and here (almost sold out) similar Stuart Weitzman white boots here,  Target white boots here, Macy’s white boots here,  Free People white boots here, and some lower heeled ASOS white boots I just ordered here | Bag: Prada

I don’t know about you all, but especially in recent years I live in skirts and tops (or dresses) in the spring and summer.  It’s the easy breezy factor of skirts and dresses that gets me.  They are less binding than jeans, especially if they have an elastic waist.  And you stay cooler.  Plus they look so feminine.   Basically, in the spring in NYC, I go crazy in skirts and dresses!  Because all winter long, it is hard to wear a dress with all the snow, freezing wind and ice.  This skirt is a fun one, it is only $35 at ASOS and you could wear it with a simple tee shirt, tank top (black or white) and some converse or sandals/espadrilles as it gets warmer.

And… white blouses, especially with ruffles, are a spring and summer STAPLE.  This one is from last year (J.Crew) but I have found four other similar ones with ruffles going down the front sides and have linked them all above.

FINALLY, if you haven’t gotten a pair of white boots yet, and are still looking for a good pair, I have linked 5 options above, with different heel heights and price points.  The last ones, from ASOS (here) I just ordered myself.  I really do not need another pair but I like that these are low heeled and would look cute with dresses or with cropped denim or even with shorts.  I wear white boots year round and they are a really fun way to liven up an outfit.  I am not sure how much longer they will be “in” because they’ve been around now for a few years, and now even Target carries them (which is normally the death knell for any trend) but who knows.  I will be sad when they go “out” because I love them and have been wearing them nonstop for about 3 years.

I hope everyone is having a GREAT start to the week and had a good weekend!  And for all the moms, happy Mother’s Day!

Thanks for reading!
