Staying warm in neutral faux fur

Coat: H&M (sold out, other neutral faux furs here (long black one) and here (long leopard one)) |

Bag: Chloé | Boots: & Other Stories

Okay so I had mixed feelings about featuring this coat on my blog, because it is totally 100% sold out on H&M’s site.  But I love it a lot!  And it might come back in stock (?). At this point in the season, the stores are selling out of their winter coats and there are slim pickings left – but I have rounded up some of my favorite neutral faux fur jackets and coats that ARE still available for purchase in the links at the top and bottom of this post.  Faux fur coats are one of my favorite styles to wear on the coldest days in New York City, and we do still have a couple of months left of very cold weather.   I do own one or two real fur coats (they are vintage), but it is kind of scary to wear them around the city sometimes as many people understandably have such strong feelings against real fur.  I find faux fur to be almost, if not as warm as, the real thing.  And a faux fur coat always adds that certain something to your look.  No matter how you style it – it is a failsafe way to glam yourself up a bit!  I decided to go monochromatic with this one.  These cream knee high boots from & Other Stories are some of my favorites for this winter- the heel height is comfortable and they have the slouchy look that is getting to be popular again.  While over-the-knee boots are fun, they have been way overdone on Instagram and I for one am ready for a change – would love to see more knee-high or mid-calf boots instead – and I think we will be seeing more of them in coming seasons!

Thanks for reading!
