The new combat boot for fall 2020 is actually a… Chelsea boot!  With its platform lug sole, chunky silhouette, taller shaft and smooth black leather, this is the boot silhouette that is everywhere this fall.  It is available at every price point so if you want to try the trend for less, you can do what I did which was buy a faux leather version (great for the rain).  I got mine in-store at H&M for $35.  At first, I wasn’t planning to succumb to this trend because I had invested in the Prada combat boots last year (wearing them in this post and they are still available to buy here).  But the Prada ones are different to these!  They have a much higher heel, and a shorter boot shaft.  The higher, mid calf shaft is definitely what makes these Chelsea boots more trendy this season – they are not ankle boots so if you do buy a pair, try to find one with a mid-calf boot shaft.  Also it helps to have loops to pull them on and off easily.  I have linked a ton of options from different price points at the top and at the bottom of this post!

Thanks for reading!
